This may be the only marathon you will find that is run almost entirely on the sands of a beach! The Village of Surfside is a quaint community centered on the South Texas Gulf Coast beach-front. Come enjoy the peaceful sand, the soft waves, and watch the gulf birds ride the breezes. The sand is flat and easy on the legs. Find out why so many local runner's choose the to do their long training-runs on Surfside Beach!

Take highway 288 south from Houston.
At Lake Jackson, continue to follow 288 south as it joins 332.
Follow the signs to Surfside and go over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge.
After the bridge, turn left onto the Bluewater Highway.
Follow the Bluewater Highway 2-miles to the Stahlman Park Pavillion (on the right side).

Starting point is Stallman Pavillion at Surfside Beach on Bluewater Highway.
