Selected by Runner's World as one of the "10 Most Scenic Marathons of the Year" and one of the "Top 10 Destination Marathons in North America."

The Half Marathon course begins at the midpoint of the Marathon course locally known as Moon Hill at an elevation of 6,990' and finishes at the same location as the Marathon.

The 10K Course is a USATF Certified Race course that follows a rolling, paved road through scenic Strawberry Park and Old Town Steamboat Springs. It starts and finishes at the courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs at an elevation of 6,728'.

Steamboat Springs is located three hours from Denver in the Northwest corner of Colorado. You can also fly into our local airport in Hayden, Colorado which is 25 minutes from Steamboat Springs.

Once in Steamboat, we offer free transportation to both the Marathon and Half Marathon starting areas.

Because of space availablitiy this is offered to participants only. Buses will leave from the parking lot at the corner of 8th and Oak Street, downtown Steamboat Springs, and the Gondola Transit Area on Mt. Werner Circle. Marathon buses board from 5:45-6:00am at the Gondola Transit Center and 6:00-6:15am the Gondola Transit Center and 6:15-6:30am downtown. Buses will bring your personal items back to the finish area. Parking is extremely limited at both starting areas. Traffic on our open course is an added hazard and is strongly discouraged.
