The Sacramento Marathon is a flat and fast marathon and half marathon road race in the heart of California's capital city. The marathon runners complete the out and back course twice.

A four-person marathon relay event and a 3-mile walk or run venue is also included.

This is the 28th annual marathon which also includes a Sports Expo at the Downtown Holidy Inn (host hotel and packet pick-up). The organizing committee has also arranged rooms at the Hawthorne Suites on Bercut Drive. Both hotels are only minutes from the start line in William Land Park (12th Ave & Freeport ).

The marathon is electronically timed by Capital Road Race Management.

From San Francisco - Interstate 80 to I-5 South, exit Sutterville Rd to Freeport.

From Reno/Roseville - Interstate 80 west to I-5 South, exit Sutterville

From Fresno/Elk Grove - 99 North to 12th Ave, North to Freeport (Sacramento City College)
