What you get: 26.2 miles (or 13.1 miles) of park trails ? a runner?s paradise (except for the hills) Shady, paved course through forest alongside Potomac River and George Washington Memorial Parkway. Average temperature on course is 10 degrees cooler than on roads. USATF certified course -- Boston Qualifier
Many flat stretches, some rolling terrain, two notable hills. This is not a flat course.

Packet pick-up: Saturday, April 30, from 2 pm to 6 pm, location TBA. Classic Sport Science? DriRelease? sleeveless performance jersey for a historic occasion. Goodie bag with coupons & gift certificates. Participant limit: 200 ONLY. Additional packet pickup on-site at Belle Haven Park from 6:09 am to 6:45 am
Your choice of distance - You can choose to finish half- or full marathon.

Along the course: Water, sports drinks, and other refreshments every 2 miles, courtesy of sponsors and supporting clubs

After the race: All marathon and half-marathon finishers get certificates & medals 11:00 am (or soon after) -- Awards Ceremony at Belle Haven Park.

Cash prizes for the top three men and women in the marathon:
$250 for 1st place, male and female
$150 for 2nd place, male and female
$100 for 3rd place, male and female
Gift certificates and merchandise prizes to top 4 male & female by 10-year age group; first over 4:00; and first over 5:00

1:00 pm -- Finish line closes, everything cleaned up

From DC and Key Bridge, take Fort Myer Drive south. At Chevron station, stay to the center and go through the tunnel. Stay left as you cross over Route 50. Turn left immediately onto the entrance ramp for Route 50 and George Washington Memorial Parkway. Stay right where Route 50 bears left, and continue south on George Washington Memorial Parkway past National Airport, through Old Town Alexandria, past last stoplight at Hunting Road, and over I-495. Belle Haven Road is the first right, a mile south of I-495. Free parking is available on Belle Haven Road. The starting line is on your left. You can also pass the starting line by 100 meters, turn left at Belle Haven Marina, and park free at Belle Haven Park (don't park in the marina). Belle Haven Park has only 160 parking spaces.
