Thirty years and still running strong! Join us Thursday, June 15 through Saturday, June 17 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Grandma's Marathon. From day one, this Duluth tradition has highlighted the best of what the city has to offer including breathtaking scenery, unmatched hospitality and passionate community spirit.
Grandma?s Marathon, the 11th largest marathon in the nation, features a beautiful point-to-point course that starts just outside of Two Harbors, Minn. and runs along the scenic north shore of Lake Superior. Excellent water stations staffed by enthusiastic volunteers line the 26.2-mile stretch, and thousands of excited spectators cheer race participants on as they run toward the finish line in Duluth?s famous Canal Park.
The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, William A. Irvin 5K, Whipper Snapper Races for Kids, Michelina?s All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner, SMDC Health and Fitness Expo, guest speaking presentations and live musical entertainment accompany Grandma?s Marathon and help make it a world-class event that participants, family and race fans won?t forget!
